Maid Sama Season 2: Do Usui and Misaki End Up Together?

As an anime classic, “Maid Sama!” features all the adorable cliches of a shojo narrative and an engaging plot captured in the title’s humorous oxymoron. When used in conjunction with the job title “maid,” the honorific “Sama” mocks the position’s low social status. It serves to heighten the dramatic tension that permeates this entire series.

Dedicated class president Misaki Ayuzawa is working hard to make her all-boys high school, which recently became co-ed, more welcoming to female students. She helps to make ends meet in her spare time by working as a maid at a coffee shop to support her family.

She does everything she can to keep her work persona and her school identity separate to protect her reputation as a devil. Then Takumi Usui, her aloof and gorgeous student, uncovers her double existence.

Fans have requested a second season of the anime because it concludes far before the manga, which has been running for a long time. What do we know about the second season of “Maid Sama?”

When Can We Expect the Season 2 of the Anime Series “Maid Sama”?

Even though there is still a lot of manga left to adapt, the J.C. Staff animation company has yet to announce a second season of “Maid Sama!”. The first season was premiered in 2010. Therefore it has already taken more than a decade for new episodes to arrive.

That’s not an excellent timetable for the project. The chances of reviving a decade-old anime are slim, but Netflix has recently given the series a new lease on life, so who knows?

To differentiate itself in the increasingly saturated streaming market, Netflix has turned into an anime mecca. Even if Netflix doesn’t bring up “Maid Sama!” for a second season, the streaming service has brought back its original anime shows.

It worked for the Snyder Cut, so it must be good. Netflix needs to hear from its customers, encouraging them via social media.

Maid Sama Season 2 Cast

Until the second season of “Maid Sama!” has been approved, no one knows who will be in the cast. Netflix has both the original Japanese and the English dubbed versions of “Maid Sama!” so it’s got two voices to work with if a revival is in the works.

In the Japanese version, Misaki and Usui are played by Ayumi Fujimura and Nobuhiko Okamoto. There are several other productions where they’ve provided their voices: In “Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners,” fans may recognize Fujimura’s voice as Azaka Kokutou, while in “My Hero Academia,” fans may recall Okamoto as Katsuki Bakugou.

David Matranga (Usui) and Monica Rial (Sadako) are their English counterparts (Misaki). When Matranga worked on “My Hero Academia,” he played the role of Shoto Todoroki, a different character. Also, he is the voice of Bertholdt Hoover in the hit anime series “Attack on Titan.” However, Rial has the most extensive IMDb page. Her role as Bulma in “Dragon Ball Super” made her a household name.

Maid Sama!” cast is likely to return for a second season.

What Is the Storyline of Season 2 of Maid Sama?

Even though the anime does not finish with a cliffhanger (Misaki finally confesses her emotions for Usui and the two of them become a couple), the manga pushes the plot a lot further than this. There are 85 chapters in the manga. However, the anime only covers the first 32. While there has been no official word on a second season of “Maid Sama!” there is much material to draw upon.

After Misaki and Usui become a couple in the manga, the tale goes deeper into Usui’s family turmoil. His family doesn’t want him to date anyone who is reportedly below his social position, which causes friction between the newlyweds.

It takes ten years after Usui’s high school graduation for him to get married to Misaki, despite his family’s efforts to keep him from receiving education elsewhere. “Maid Sama! “‘s” second season is likely to follow the same plot, although fans can read it now if they don’t want to wait.
