King Von Death Date

Early Life

Von spent his first time behind bars at the age of 16. In connection with a shooting in which Malcolm Stuckey was murdered and two other people were injured, he was charged in 2014 with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. Of all charges, he was cleared. He started concentrating on his musical career and working with Lil Durk. Von attended South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois, where he received some college credits, prior to his imprisonment for the alleged crimes. While incarcerated as a minor, he completed his GED. He then became a member of the street gang known as the Black Disciples.

Bennett was taken into custody on 21 November 2012 and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun.

Bennett was detained on July 24, 2014, in connection with a shooting that took place in May 2014 that left Malcolm Stuckey dead and two other men wounded. Bennett and Lil Durk, actual name Durk Derrick Banks, were detained in June 2019 in connection with an Atlanta shooting. In a Fulton County courthouse, Bennett and his co-defendant Banks stood before the judge for a probable cause hearing. On February 5, 2019, near a well-known drive-in, the two rappers allegedly robbed and shot Alexander Witherspoon, according to the prosecution. Durk was released from jail after several weeks on a $250,000 bond, while Von was freed on a $300,000 bond.

The Chicago Police concluded in July 2021 that Bennett was the shooter who killed 17-year-old Gangster Disciples member Gakirah “K.I.” Barnes in April 2014, but they were unable to charge him because of contradictions in witness accounts.
