365 Days is a Polish erotic thriller film about a young Warsaw woman named Laura who falls in love with a domineering Sicilian man named Massimo. The story begins when Laura travels to Sicily to preserve her relationship from disintegration. There, she meets Massimo, a young mafia boss, who kidnaps her and keeps her hostage for a year in an attempt to make her fall in love with him.
The film also has a sequel, 365 Days: This Day, which depicts Laura and Massimo’s married lives and how Laura becomes the target of Massimo’s rivals, who will go to any length to defeat the strong mafia boss.
The film will be released theatrically in Poland on February 7, 2020, and globally on Netflix on June 7, 2020. The sequel will be released on April 27, 2022. Despite the bad reviews, it became the most-watched item worldwide, including in the United States. The film was panned for romanticizing kidnapping and rape, and some outlets compared it to the erotica Fifty Shades of Grey.
However, the film has been a massive success in popularity, and fans eagerly anticipate the third episode in the series to see more of Laura and Massimo together.

Yes, the movies are based on a trilogy of books by Blanka Lipska. Netflix wants to follow in the footsteps of Fifty Shades of Grey and make each movie in the trilogy into a film. The third part will be out very soon, and if Netflix sticks to the titles of the books, it will be called Next 365 Days.

At the end of 365 Days: This Day, Adriano told Massimo that Laura had been pregnant but had lost the baby. How Massimo reacts to that news will be interesting to watch.

Everything in the synopsis matches what we know about the second movie, except for the part about the woman who is pregnant. That could mean that Laura gets pregnant again (maybe with Nacho’s baby, like in the book), or that part of the story will be cut from the movies.
The third book’s ending, which breaks up Massimo and Laura’s relationship, has received mixed reviews from fans. If you look at the reviews on Goodreads, you’ll see that many people didn’t like the book.
I haven’t read the books, but Oprah Daily says that Massimo sends Laura her dead dog, kidnaps her again (after she runs away with Nacho), and Laura becomes addicted to alcohol. After having a miscarriage, she even needs a heart transplant.
We’ll have to wait and see if the people making the third movie decide to go in a different direction from the book. If you remember the first movie, Laura has a heart condition so the heart transplant plot could happen.
The translated version of The Next 365 Days is expected to come out in September 2022. This is when English speakers will be able to read it.
