365 Days 3 Release Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer, and Other Updates!
365 Days is a Polish erotic thriller film about a young Warsaw woman named Laura who falls in love with a domineering Sicilian man named Massimo. The story begins when Laura travels to Sicily to preserve her relationship from disintegration. There, she meets Massimo, a young mafia boss, who kidnaps her and keeps her hostage for a year in an attempt to make her fall in love with him.
The film also has a sequel, 365 Days: This Day, which depicts Laura and Massimo’s married lives and how Laura becomes the target of Massimo’s rivals, who will go to any length to defeat the strong mafia boss.
The film will be released theatrically in Poland on February 7, 2020, and globally on Netflix on June 7, 2020. The sequel will be released on April 27, 2022. Despite the bad reviews, it became the most-watched item worldwide, including in the United States. The film was panned for romanticizing kidnapping and rape, and some outlets compared it to the erotica Fifty Shades of Grey.
However, the film has been a massive success in popularity, and fans eagerly anticipate the third episode in the series to see more of Laura and Massimo together.
Will 365 Days 3 happen?
Yes, the movies are based on a trilogy of books by Blanka Lipska. Netflix wants to follow in the footsteps of Fifty Shades of Grey and make each movie in the trilogy into a film. The third part will be out very soon, and if Netflix sticks to the titles of the books, it will be called Next 365 Days.
The Release Date of 365 days
“I’m thrilled that Netflix will make movies of the last two parts of my 365 Days Trilogy, This Day and Next 365 Days. Yes, the streamer has finally given us a date for the official release of the third installment.
It will be out on August 19, 2022. Blanka Lipinska, who wrote the 365 Days trilogy of books, is excited to give readers worldwide a new look at her characters and continue Laura and Massimo’s story.
The Cast of 365 Days 3
Several cast members, including Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone, who play the main characters Laura and Massimo, have already been confirmed for the third movie. At the end of the second movie, Laura’s future is again unclear, but I don’t think she will die. Any way you look, she will be in the third movie somehow.
We know that Morrone will be back as Massimo, but could he also come back as Massimo’s twin brother Adriano? At the end of the second movie, Adriano was also shot, so we don’t know if he’s still alive or not. The same is true for Natasza Urbaska, who plays Anna on the show.
Massimo’s rival, Nacho, is played by Simone Susinna. He will also be back. Magdalena Lamparska and Otar Saralidze, who played Laura’s best friend Olga and Massimo’s right-hand man Domenico, will also be back. During the second movie, Olga and Domenico say, “I do.”
In short, here’s what we know so far about the movie’s cast:
- Anna-Maria Sieklucka as Laura
- Michele Morrone as Massimo
- Simone Susanna as Nacho
- Magdalena Lamparska as Olga
- Otar Saralidze as Domenico
The Plot of 365 Days
Based on what happens at the end of the second movie, we think Massimo and Laura will try to fix their relationship in the third movie (if she survives, which is all but sure). At the end of 365 Days: This Day, Adriano told Massimo that Laura had been pregnant but had lost the baby. How Massimo reacts to that news will be interesting to watch.
Since most movies are based on the books, we can also look at the novel’s summary to get an idea of what to expect:
As the wife of one of Sicily’s most dangerous Mafia bosses, Don Massimo Torricelli, Laura’s life is full of ups and downs. She is often in danger because Massimo’s enemies are cruel and will do anything to get rid of the powerful man.
And when an attack leaves Laura seriously hurt, pregnant, and fighting for her life, Massimo has to make the most challenging choice of his life. Without Laura, what will his life be like? What will happen to his family, and whose year might be over? Will he be able to take care of their child on his own?
Everything in the synopsis matches what we know about the second movie, except for the part about the woman who is pregnant. That could mean that Laura gets pregnant again (maybe with Nacho’s baby, like in the book), or that part of the story will be cut from the movies.
The third book’s ending, which breaks up Massimo and Laura’s relationship, has received mixed reviews from fans. If you look at the reviews on Goodreads, you’ll see that many people didn’t like the book.
I haven’t read the books, but Oprah Daily says that Massimo sends Laura her dead dog, kidnaps her again (after she runs away with Nacho), and Laura becomes addicted to alcohol. After having a miscarriage, she even needs a heart transplant.
We’ll have to wait and see if the people making the third movie decide to go in a different direction from the book. If you remember the first movie, Laura has a heart condition so the heart transplant plot could happen.
The translated version of The Next 365 Days is expected to come out in September 2022. This is when English speakers will be able to read it.
