Attack on Titan is a must-see for fans of action, fantasy, and dystopian fiction. Attack on Titan depicts the ongoing war between mankind and man-eating titans in a post-apocalyptic future (Titans). Despite the massive walls that separate the two towns, a group of elite warriors known as the Survey Corps frequently walk outside the walls to fight Titans and learn more about what lies beyond their village. Attack on Titan’s combat might be brutal and fierce, but they’re also wonderfully animated. Eren Yeager, the protagonist, will also develop on you.

 

Best Superhero Anime: My Hero Academia

Even if you don’t generally get enthused about superheroes, My Hero Academia is a game changer. In the world of My Hero Academia, a handful of people are born with quirks, aka superpowers, which place them in the future on the side of Villain or Hero (which is a legitimate vocation). Midoriya, who used to be a quirkless person, changes  ways after inheriting a quirk from the world’s best Hero and enrolling at a top Hero high school. It may sound cliche, but the characters are all so real and flawed that you can’t help but sympathise with them.

Best Fantasy Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist is the best fantasy anime of all time because it depicts a fully developed, one-of-a-kind world with internally consistent rules and real-world repercussions. Building on it, it tells a story of two brothers that is as grounded as the environment is amazing.

There’s little doubt that the Elric brothers’ story belongs on any list of the best anime of all time. The most contentious question is whether Fullmetal Alchemist or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood should be chosen.

Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are both based on the same manga. The difference is that the former was created while the manga was being created, hence the show’s ending has nothing to do with the manga. Brotherhood arrived later, faithfully adapting the complete manga. Both have beautiful animation, intriguing plots, and dubs.

If you want a faster pace, more action, and more humour, Brotherhood is a wonderful pick. The original moves at a faster speed and has greater drama.

Best Supernatural Anime: Shin Sekai Yori

A lot of fantasy and supernatural anime, like Bleach, mix wonderful aspects into real-world settings, such as shinigami descending on Karakura Town. Shin Sekai Yori, or From the New World, takes it a step farther.

The series gets off to a lacklustre start. This is primarily due to the first few episodes’ emphasis on introducing the characters and the fascinating supernatural realm in which they dwell. Because of this attention to detail, as well as the deep topics tackled throughout the series, it is the best supernatural anime available, as well as a really outstanding piece of speculative fiction.

Best Horror Anime: When They Cry (Higurashi)

Most anime horror series, such as High School of the Dead, are referred to as horror because of the creatures. These shows are often short on what Western audiences consider to be frightening. Best Anime Kids Movie: My Neighbor Totoro

Because of the association between animation and children’s cartoons in the West, anime has a reputation for being childish. The truth is that most anime isn’t appropriate for children, as proven by the inclusion of TV-14, TV-MA, and R ratings on this list.

Studio Ghibli is the ideal place to start if you’re seeking for a superb anime kids movie. Ponyo, Spirited Away, and other films are great, beautiful, and amusing, and they can be enjoyed by tweens, teens, and adults alike.

Jujutsu Kaisen

Since the manga series began serialisation on Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018, Jujutsu Kaisen has been one of the most popular manga and anime series. The first season of the anime adaption premiered in 2020, with 24 episodes made by the current Japanese anime studio Mappa. Since the end of 2021, the first anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 , based on volume 0 of the manga series, has been embraced by a large number of admirers. It has also been agreed that the most recent second season would premiere in 2023.

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul, a popular dark fantasy manga that aired on Weekly Young Jump from 2011 to 2014, was turned into an anime in 2014. In 2018, the second half of the anime, Tokyo Ghoul:re, was aired. The anime centres on the concept of Ghouls, who live in human society and appear to be normal people. The ghouls, on the other hand, feed on human flesh.
