Some of the Best Hulu Original Series
What We Do in Shadow
There are two seasons.
TOMATOMETER AVERAGE: 97 percent
94 percent of the audience gave it a thumbs up.
FX’s What We Do In Shadows is a dryly humorous mockumentary based on the 2014 film of the same name, depicting the lives of three vampires as they go about their daily lives dealing with the “regular” difficulties that afflicted creatures of the night.
The series is relocated from the film’s original setting (New Zealand) to Staten Island, New York. Jemaine Clement (of Flight of the Conchords fame) and writer-director Taika Watiti created both the film and the series (who went on to direct Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit)
The series is overseen by Clement and Watiti, who wrote and directed several of the episodes themselves, flawlessly capturing the deadpan wit of the original film.
Shadows received two Emmy nominations for its first season in 2019, but the second season received an amazing eight nominations from the Television Academy. FX has renewed the show for a third season, based on its performance and critical praise in season two.
Ramy (2019)
There have been two seasons.
Average TOMATOMETER: 97 %
89 percent of the audience gave it a thumbs up.
The Handmaid’s Tale has been Hulu’s signature original series for some years now. Hulu’s Ramy (starring actor and comedian Ramy Youssef) is a new show that is beginning to garner comparable acclaim and attention.
As a first-generation American born to Egyptian immigrant parents, the protagonist of this “slice of life” Muslim-American comedy struggles to find a place in both the worlds he grew up in as a child and the worlds he now inhabits as an adult.
In a show unlike anything else on television, this problem is explored in great depth and with a great deal of levity.

Mrs. America (2020)
Seasonal number: 1
TOMATOMETER AVERAGE: 96 PERCENT
65 percent of the audience gave it a positive rating.
To bring the great Cate Blanchett to television, it takes a unique endeavour, and FX’s 2020 production Mrs. America is just that. The drama is based on the true story of anti-feminist conservative activist Phyllis Schafly, who led the 1970s resistance to the Equal Rights Movement.
Blanchett is a force of nature as Schafly, a culture warrior who is pitted against Gloria Steinem and Shirley Chisholm, two well-known feminists of the day (played by Rose Byrne and Uzo Aduba, respectively).
The nine-episode mini-series takes a hard look at the issues that separated us back then, and still do to some extent today. Mrs. America, along with HBO’s Watchmen, is the year’s most critically acclaimed limited series, with ten Emmy nominations.

Justified (2010)
There are six distinct seasons.
Average TOMATOMETER: 97 percent
Average Audience score: 95 percent
The lawman drama on FX that is based on a character created by Elmore Leonard might not be the first show that comes to mind when thinking about the very best shows that are available on Hulu.
The show ran from 2010 to 2015.
Timothy Olyphant, who plays Deputy US Marshall Raylan Givens, and Walton Goggin’s, who plays his archenemy Boyd Crowder, both have breakout performances in the FX series Justified.
A colorful cast of characters and witty, snappy banter are just two of the many standout aspects of this show, which also takes place in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a setting that is rarely featured in television productions. Over the course of its run on FX, the drama series Justified attracted a significant number of viewers and was ultimately shortlisted for eight prime-time Emmy Awards.
Despite this, Justified was never a huge sensation, so the show is still perfect for new fans to stumble onto.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
The number of seasons is fourteen.
TOMATOMETER AVERAGE: 96 %
The average audience rating is 93 percent.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, one of the greatest sleeper successes in modern television history, debuted in 2005. Rob McElhenny, the show’s co-creator, recently stated that he has begun writing the show’s fifteenth (!) season.
This rowdy comedy about five ne’er-do-well friends in South Philadelphia running a barely-solvent neighbourhood bar (played by McElhenny, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, Glenn Howerton, and Danny DeVito) is known for its bawdy, uproarious humour, but also for its ability to showcase genuine tenderness and friendship.
Hulu now has all 14 seasons accessible for streaming. More information on Hulu’s packages, pricing, and channels can be found in our review of the service’s packages, pricing, and channels.

Harlots (2017)
Number of seasons: three
TOMATOMETER AVERAGE: 97 percent
92 percent of the audience gave it a thumbs up.
Harlots is a subtly pro-feminist show set in the 18th century about two rival madams (played by Samantha Morton and Lesley Manville) who own their own brothels in London. We say stealthily pro-feminist because the show does a fantastic job of demonstrating how limited women’s opportunities were in Georgian Britain, even in the big cities.
Not only do these two madams have to deal with each other, but they also have to battle with a moralistic movement that exposes them to police raids and evangelists pushing for the closure of their brothels. Harlots aired for three seasons before being cancelled by Netflix in 2019.
Fargo (2014)
The average number of seasons is 3, with three being the most common. TOMATO
The average number of seasons is 3, but this varies from person to person. 96 percent on the TOMATOMETER
93 percent of the audience gave it a thumbs up.
As a tribute to the Coen Brothers’ film of the same name, FX’s Fargo takes place in the same universe as the Oscar-winning film, but it also establishes its own distinct environment.
Those who have seen the film will recognise the icy landscape, local accents, and odd characters mixed in with a pulpy, darkly-humored crime story. Fargo’s three seasons (and the film) are linked, although each may be enjoyed as a stand-alone drama.
Each season is set in a separate year (2006, 1979, and 2010), so starting at the beginning is the best way to get the most out of the inside jokes, but you won’t miss out on anything if you jump right in with any of the seasons. In late August, filming for the fourth season of Fargo got back under way.
Difficult People (2015)
Difficult people is a comedy about two dreadful individuals who go about their daily lives being obnoxious, cruel, and catty.
As in You’re the Worst, this can work. In contrast, Difficult People has a lot less aspiration. It’s almost like a programme put together by a pair of comedians who decided it would be amusing to do insult comedy every week.
In the first episode, there was some little humour. Even though the characters were unlikable and the premise flimsy, I managed to crack a smile or two. It had all the issues of the first, but was much less hilarious in the second episode than the first. So this is the last episode I’m going to watch.

Better Things (2016)
There are three distinct seasons.
The TOMATOMETER, on average, registers 96 percent
There are four seasons on average, and the TOMATOMETER reads 97 percent.
Average Audience Score: 84 percent
Better Things has been a critical darling for a long time despite having mediocre ratings during its four seasons on FX. The show’s star, the feisty and tart-tongued actress Pamela Adlon, stars in the series. Better Things may not sound like it has the makings of a comedic show when you consider that it is about a fictional former child star named Sam Fox who is attempting to keep up with an acting career that could end at any time.
Especially when you take into account the fact that Sam is also juggling life as a single mother of three while also caring for a mother who lives with her who is suffering from mental illness. However, we assure you that this is a comedy; however, it is not the typical form of the genre.
The audience may only sometimes laugh out loud, but the knowing smirks that appear on their faces are likely to remain in their minds for a considerable amount of time after the jokes have been forgotten.
Better Things is one of those comedies that, if there were a subgenre called “comedies that make you wince” (like “comedies that make you think of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, or The Office), it would fit in there like a glove, and we mean that as a complement.
Atlanta (2016)![the best hulu oroginal series]()
2-seasons
97% TOMATOMETER
Audience rating: 89%
Atlanta has merely two seasons and 21 episodes (seasons three and four will broadcast next year on FX). Donald Glover’s Atlanta follows Earn (Glover) as he navigates his love life, career, and daily existence (a huge challenge for the character).
The show’s synopsis is true, but it doesn’t describe its weird and sarcastic episodes. Some episodes feature conventional plots, while others are nearly indescribable stand-alones.
Amazingly, everything fits. Atlanta may seem difficult to the uninitiated, but with time and patient, they may grow to love it. Atlanta is one of the best TV shows on Hulu.
Conclusion
These were the some of most exciting series which have been generated great revenue and make an inevitable impression not only on the box office but
