Every gamer hopes for the day when designers build genuine virtual reality. Sadly, this technology does not exist presently, but there is literature that examines what life might be like if it did. If that’s your bag, there’s probably an anime especially for you.
Technically, this is a common idea in anime (such as “Log Horizon” and “Sword Art Online”). “Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt So I’ll Max Out My Defense” stands out from the others. Like its genre cousins, “Bofuri” is an MMORPG in VR. While programmes like “Sword Art Online” focus on hardened gamers, “Bofuri” is about a cutesy newbie who manages to become one of the strongest players in the fictitious VRMMORPG NewWorld Online.
The series was based on an independent online book by creator Yuumikan, according to Anime News Network. The series quickly gained popularity, spawning light novel, manga, and most recently, anime adaptations. The first season ended in 2020, however a second season was shortly announced. In contrast to series like “Sword Art Online,” “Bofuri” follows a lovably foolish novice who stumbles and falls into becoming one of the strongest players in a fictitious VRMMORPG, NewWorld Online, despite his lack of gaming expertise.
Author Yuumikan launched the storey as an independent online book in 2016, according to Anime News Network. A light novel, manga and (most recently) an anime were all adaptations of the storey before its fame soared. Soon after the first season was over, a second season was reported to be coming out. Season 2 of “Bofuri” has been teased so far.

Season 2 of “Bofuri” has been announced, and it will be out soon enough for those who like the show. After tying up the first season’s ending, Silver Link announced that Season 2 would premiere sometime in 2022. Accordingly, this is a wonderful surprise.
First-season anime seldom earns a second-season renewal this fast. Often, there is a period of limbo in which fans are left to mourn in unknowing of the return of their beloved programme. Fortunately, “Bofuri” does not fall under this category.
However, this does not mean that the situation is completely devoid of anxiety. When COVID-19 pandemic broke out in the middle of Season 1, even the most well-liked programmes were put on hold for weeks at a time.
The pandemic’s impact on “Bofuri” Season 2 is still unclear at this time. But Silver Link’s silence on the matter is a positive indicator that everything is working as planned.

Bofuri Season 2 Cast
“Bofuri” has a lot of action, but it’s the personalities who really shine through. Even while our main character, Kaede Honjou (also known as Maple in the game), is able to get an advantage, the focus of the programme is on the fun she has meeting new friends via the game.
She begins by playing with a buddy from school, but eventually becomes a guild leader and a major effect on the RPG’s larger community.
If you want to get people invested in your show, you need a solid cast. That’s where “Bofuri” comes in. The main cast of the programme is expected to return to their respective roles following release, thus the odds are good that it will remain that way. Thus, Kaede Hondo and Megan Shipman will be the driving force behind Maple’s events.
One cannot ignore the efforts of the supporting cast, though. Because of this, performers who portray Maple Tree’s key members are expected to return in both the Japanese and English dubs, which have traditionally been aired simultaneously via Funimation (via Anime News Network).
As a result, key characters like Sally (Ruriko Noguchi/Jad Saxton), Koromu (Noriyaki Sugiyama/Anthony Bowling), and Kanade (Satomi Arai/Brittney Karbowski) are very certain to return for Season 2 of “Bofuri.”
Bofuri Season 2 Plotline
“Bofuri” Season 1 comes to a close with Maple Tree as one of the last teams remaining. Maple Tree’s resolve is put to the test in an epic clash against its greatest rivals, Holy Sword. Ultimately, the choice is between Maple and Payne.
Although Payne tries to drag Maple down, the walking fortress still pulls out an ace in the hole with her Atrocity form. Another team (the Flame Emperors) wins, and Maple Tree finishes in a respectable third place thanks to her most recent Overpowered ability. After the incident, Maple invites everyone (enemies and all) to a party.
Despite the fact that the anime has not disclosed what’s ahead for Maple and companions, Silver Link has plenty of material to draw upon. With minor exceptions, “Bofuri” stays fairly loyal to its canon in all three forms of its media — anime, manga, and the original books.
With the anime’s first season ending at Volume 4 of the light novel’s 12 instalments, all later adaptations of the plot are much further advanced than the anime’s first season (via Kadokawa Books).
Although there is no clear English description of the subsequent events of “Bofuri,” viewers may expect to see Maple goofball her way to success in NewWorld Online’s virtual reality fantasy realm. Once the second season of “Bofuri” begins, there will be a lot to chuckle about.
