Release date rumours for the upcoming season 5 Cobra Kai
There is still no release date set for the next Cobra Kai season despite the show’s fifth season being completed by William Zabka in December 2021. As of December 31, 2021, season 4 was available on Netflix, as of January 1, 2021, season 3.
According to the show’s typical release schedule, the last season will be released between late December 2022 and the beginning of the next year. While the season is in the can, it may arrive sooner than expected. Let’s hope the next round of karate bouts comes around soon.
Who will star in the upcoming fifth season of Cobra Kai?
It is commonly agreed that Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, portrayed by Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, have a delicate frenemyship (frenemosity?).
Their tense rivalry dates return to the initial Karate Kid, and the drama revolves around their attempts to put their differences aside after such a long time. So it’s impossible that they won’t return.
From Johnny’s previous Cobra Kai master and initial evil John Kreese (Martin Kove) to his perfect guy Terry Silver as of season four, this has expanded throughout the course of the programme (Thomas Ian Griffith).
It’s not just a Karate Kid remake, with Johnny and Daniel’s respective sons having their own storylines and dojos, and bringing along other high-school students for their own narratives.
Tanner Buchanan (Robby), Peyton List (Tory) and Joe Seo (Kyler) are all set to return to the Cobra Kai squad following the events of season four.

The gang’s next play may hinge on how he behaves in the following series following the savage attack (which left him in a brief coma in the hospital).
There are powerful allies around Silver. Cobra Kai’s takeover was referenced in passing towards the end of the season.
Most fans believe this to be Sean Kanan’s Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), who was a violent antagonist of Daniel in Karate Kid III. As of yet, he is the only main villain from the film series to appear in the TV series.

What can we expect from the upcoming season 5 of Cobra Kai?
Terry Silver double-crosses Kreese and has him jailed in Cobra Kai’s season four finale, which is a major changer.
In the aftermath of his incarceration for the attack on Stingray, Silver reverts to his old, cruel and malicious ways and is basically expelled from Cobra Kai and the planned expansion.
New danger Silver doesn’t appear to have a clear vulnerability, unlike Kreese. It’s even worse when you realise that Miyago-Do is no longer a functional dojo because of their bet on the All Valley competition.
Tory, on the other hand, may be the key, knowing that Silver bought the referee who awarded the victory to Cobra Kai. Will the softening of her steely façade be the catalyst for her departure from the group?
In the wake of Kenny’s transformation from a nerdy LARP fan to a savage Cobra Kai child, Anthony LaRusso has to pay more heed to the lessons his father has taught him.
With Miguel’s father in Mexico, who doesn’t know he exists, Johnny is occupied with finding him.
Most significantly, according to show’s creators Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz, is the comeback of Chozen from Karate Kid II, who returned in the last moments of season four to assist Daniel and rescue Miyagi-Do.
In season 4 of Cobra Kai, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka portray Daniel and Johnny, respectively.
“When it comes to fighting, Chozen is someone who has a strong connection to the violent past, where fighting wasn’t just a competition, but a matter of life or death.
