Constantine 2 Release Date: Why the Delay?

An official sequel for the DC demonologist Constantine has been revealed by Warner Bros. On September 16, Deadline claimed that Keanu Reeves would return to his role in the 2005 movie Constantine. Frances Lawrence, who directed the first movie, will return to helm the sequel, according to the story. Now, it looks like DC wants to use the same people who created the most lethal demon hunter in its universe to bring him back to life.

Crew update

Although the Constantine series’ next film is still a ways off, Warner Bros. has revealed some intriguing casting news. Keanu Reeves is returned to reprise his role as John Constantine. Given that numerous other performers have performed the role throughout the years, it’s an intriguing decision.

Matt Ryan plays the role in the DCEU’s Arrowverse, a well-known branch of DC canon based on the Green Arrow television series. Sope Dirisu was slated to play Constantine in an HBO Max show that was never produced. Additionally, Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series included Jenna Coleman in her final performance as Johanna Constantine. Both of them, while excellent in their own right, failed to move us as much as Keanu Reeves’ original performance did.
