Euphoria Season 3: Who is Returning for Euphoria Season 3?

Season three of Euphoria was announced halfway through the second season, so the only concern for fans was the brilliant show itself, rather than its future. “Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season two to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form while maintaining its heart,” said Francesca Orsi, Vice President of HBO programming.

“We couldn’t be more honoured or excited to continue our journey with this gifted, wildly talented team into season three.” Casey Bloys, HBO’s Chief Content Officer, previously admitted that the sexed-up high-school drama has a short shelf life. Bloys stated, “I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [teenagers]” (via TV Line). He also addressed whether Zendaya’s blossoming career would influence her commitment to future seasons. “I’ll let [executive producer Sam Levinson and Zendaya] talk about it,” he said.

Though he mentions a possible final episode, he is optimistic about the show’s future. “I’m very excited about what they have planned [for season three],” Bloys said. “So I’ll leave it to them. I’ll say that, in general, we trust where they want to take these characters. So we’ll defer to the creative team.” Hopefully, this is not the end of the road, because we desperately need more memes of Sydney Sweeney providing us with numerous Emmy-worthy moments.

Release Date: When Will Euphoria Season 3 Air on Sky and HBO?

While we know it’s coming, there’s no official release date for Euphoria season three.

Season two of Euphoria was significantly delayed due to COVID-19-related production issues, but two special episodes helped make the wait bearable. This time, we’re hoping that these issues won’t affect the show in the future, which means that season three could arrive as early as 2023. However, Grey’s Anatomy’s Eric Dane (who plays Nate’s father Cal Jacobs) has shattered that hopeful bubble.

In an interview with Variety, the actor stated that while filming could begin as early as November, the series will not premiere until the following year. “I just saw something that said 2024, which makes sense,” he explained. “We’ll go back and shoot in November, I mean. I’m not sure. I haven’t heard anything. It will always be changing.”

Cal Jacobs (Eric Dane) may not appear again after his child turned him in to police in the season 3 finale. Ashtray (Javon Walton) could only return through flashbacks or dream sequences after his character was killed in a police firefight in the final episode of season 2. Furthermore, Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat in Seasons 1 and 2 of HBO’s Euphoria, has stated that she will not be returning for Season 3.

“After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” Ferreira said in an Instagram Story. I hope many of you saw yourself in her, as I did, and that watching her develop into the character she is today brought you joy. I put all of my love and care into her, and I hope you could feel it. Euphoria Season 3 Plot: What to Expect in the New Season?

“Sam Levinson and I had some really deep conversations as of last weekend actually,” Colman Domingo teased about Euphoria Season 3. “Here he’s talking about the character arcs and what he wants to do to expand on that, to actually re-examine at times.” It’s an organism, and he wants to keep shifting it in various ways, and I believe he’ll take some really big swings with Season 3.

He’s the type of person who wants to smash the show’s expectations because he truly is a consummate artist and wants to make sure he’s telling some really compelling storytelling. And just because we had some previous success this season, he said, “Let’s not rely on that.” Let’s get started. I’m going to delve a little deeper into these characters. I’m going to peel away the layers until I get to the human heart.”

Domingo also spoke about how it felt to win and represent Afro-Latino actors. “They’re from Belize and Guatemala and all over Central America, and I feel very proud,” he said of his father’s side of the family.I’m sure they’re cheering for me in the streets, and they’re very proud of me for being a part of this and representing not only Afro-Latinos, but also humble people in West Philadelphia. Working-class parents, stepfathers, and mothers, you know, I think I represent so many of them, so it feels really, really good.”
