From Scratch Season 2: Will From Scratch on Netflix Get a Season 2?
After watching Amy and Lino’s love story unfold on Netflix’s newest drama series From Scratch, viewers are reaching for tissues and planning their next trip to Italy.
Based on Tembi Locke’s memoir of the same name, From Scratch tells the emotional story of Amy (played by Zoe Saldaa), an American art student who travels to Florence and falls in love with a Sicilian chef named Lino (Eugenio Mastrandrea). The series delves into their love story, including everything from babies to marriage and family feuds. When Lino becomes ill, their two families must band together to care for him.
The eight-part series debuted on Netflix last Friday (October 21st) and has quickly climbed the Top 10. Viewers have been devouring the series, with many wondering if there will be a sequel.
Is from Scratch Renewed for Season 2?
No, From Scratch has not been renewed for a second season because Netflix has billed the project as a limited series. That means that season 1 tells the entire story, and the writers were able to tell the entire story in just one batch of episodes. Because the audience was given eight episodes, episode 8 is the series finale. All eight episodes debuted on the same day.
The show is based on Tembi Locke’s memoir of the same name, From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home. As a result, showrunner Attica and the writers approached the season as a one-and-done project, allowing them to tackle the memoir entirely.
Will From Scratch on Netflix Get a Season 2?
Netflix has yet to confirm whether Amy and her family will return for a second season of From Scratch.
Given that the show is a limited series, another season is unlikely, but we’re crossing our fingers.
