Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos Flooded with Flirty Messages After Joining the Show

Joan Vassos was not familiar with joining a reality TV show, but she is adjusting to her new status as a reality TV star. Even though her family found it unpleasant that she would be making out with men on camera, The Golden Bachelorette helped her come out of her shell and rekindle her interest in dating after her spouse passed away.

That exposure, nevertheless, has unanticipated repercussions. She’s becoming a nationally recognized eligible bachelorette, and she’s finding the attention from males a little overwhelming.

Joan Vassos Got Unsettling Messages From Men

When Joan Vassos first joined The Golden Bachelorette, she was both excited and a little apprehensive. She didn’t know what to anticipate, but it most definitely wasn’t a ton of pornographic images in her direct messages.

After going on the show, she gained a lot of popularity and attracted a lot of men, but their seduction techniques weren’t well welcomed.

Joan said she was “inundated” with direct messages from guys during an interview about her experience with Entertainment Weekly.

She said, “I had trouble navigating that process.” They’re sort of vetted and you can view their profile on a dating app. They are just strangers messaging you [via direct messages]. To be honest, I didn’t really react to those.

I would also strike up small talks and say something like, “Thank you, you’re so flattering,” or anything like. However, none of them appeared to be very likely to succeed. Some of the DMs were strange after that.

“I got d*** pics,” she continued. I know people who are obsessed with their feet. They offered to compensate me if I could give them photos of my feet. Someone made an offer to purchase every pair of shoes I wore on Golden Bachelor. It was horrible.

“Give me your phone, mom,” my children yelled at me. We’re stopping everything.

Joan Vassos wasn’t always sure it was a smart idea to join The Golden Bachelorette, despite the fact it was an amazing experience. She believed she would never consider dating again after her long marriage to John, who died at the age of 59.

“Everyone believed you ought to be prepared after a year. And that was nowhere near it,” she admitted.

“That year, I kind of glided through it. To be honest, I don’t remember much of it. When year two arrives, I should be ready by now, I tell myself, but my heart wasn’t. I thought, ‘I’m not getting any younger, I’m not getting prettier, I’m not getting more attractive,’ so I wanted to be.”

She chose to attempt dating because she felt a little hurried, and although it wasn’t an awful experience, she didn’t discover a “good match.” Going out there, nevertheless, “did show me that I really did want to find somebody.”

She made the right decision in joining The Golden Bachelorette, but she isn’t in a desperate search for love.

“I want to avoid jumping into anything. I’m not required to! “I’m not concerned about my biological clock anymore,” she jokingly said. “My life is complete. Determining how to combine lives takes time. It’s worthwhile if you have the affection.”
