Harley Quinn Season 3: When It Will Be Renewed?

With the release of Matt Reeves’s The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson (The Devil All the Time) and Zo Kravitz (KIMI), and the success of James Gunn’s Suicide Squad and the hit sequel series Peacemaker, everyone is into the DC Universe.

DC and Warner Bros. have changed both the franchise’s direction and how they market it. So far, the reviews have been good, and fans seem to be more excited about the new law. But this has made it harder for fans of Harley Quinn from DC Comics to wait for Season 3.

After ending on a high note in April 2020, production on Harley Quinn Season 3 began later that year, in September. Showrunners Patrick Schumacker (Abbot Elementary) and Justin Halpern (Powerless) told audiences to expect the next chapter in Harley Quinn’s story to be finished by late 2021 or early 2022.

Now that it’s three months into 2022, fans want to know when their favorite female anti-hero, her partner in crime, and their favorite group of misfits will finally return to TV. So, here’s what we know so far about that.

When Does Season 3 of Dc’s Harley Quinn Start?

The third season of Harley Quinn will premiere on HBO Max on July 28, 2022. This means we won’t have to wait much longer to see Harley, Ivy, King Shark, Clayface, and Frank the Plant all back together. But if you’re going to San Diego Comic-Con, you’re in luck because that’s where the first two episodes of the third season will be shown for the first time. This year’s Comic-Con starts on July 21 and goes through July 24. There is no set a date for the preview screening.

Is There a Trailer for Harley Quinn Season 3?

In October 2021, HBO Max showed a “first look” at Season 3. Collider said that as part of last year’s DC Fandom Event, a 2:53-minute teaser with a partially animated storyboard was released.

It doesn’t say much about the plot, other than that Harley and Ivy, now a couple, are causing trouble. Harley calls their antics the Eat, Bang, Kill Tour. In August of last year, a limited-edition spin-off comic book series with the same name came out. It had 6 issues.

The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour comics take place between Seasons 2 and 3 of the show. They are about Harley and Ivy’s cross-country road trip after they left Kite Man at the altar. GCPD Commissioner Gordon is after them the whole time.

The DC Fandom teaser did apologize to “ladies, gents, theys, and gays” for the long wait. Harley Quinn broke the fourth wall to say that the season wasn’t done yet and that “animation takes forever!”

On June 28, the first official teaser trailer for Season 3 came out. Set to the song “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the trailer gives fans their long-awaited first look at all the crazy things that will happen in the new season, such as Harley and Ivy becoming an official couple, Swamp Thing making an appearance, Batman and Catwoman getting a little naughty, and a strange cameo appearance by James Gunn as Clayface.

Who Are the Cast and Characters of Harley Quinn Season 3?

Schumacker and Halpern, in charge of the show, have said many times that fans can expect to see more of their favorite DC heroes and villains in Season 3. So far, Nightwing, John Constantine, the Mad Hatter, the Clock King, and Amanda Waller have all said they will be there.

Again, we don’t know much about who will be speaking for these characters.

We know that Harvey Guillén from “What We Do in the Shadows” will play Nightwing, but the rest are still a mystery. But the show has had a lot of great guest stars, like Frankie Muniz (from Malcolm in the Middle), the late Jessica Walters (from Archer), and Jameela Jamil (from A Good Place), so whoever the showrunners choose is sure to surprise and excite fans.
