Horimiya” is a beautiful high school romance anime that follows the romance of two kids who have seemingly contrasting personalities. When it premiered in January 2021, it garnered a positive response from fans. Hiroki Adachi originally wrote and illustrated the webcomic series Hero, which was published on her website from 2007 to 2011. The anime series is based on the web manga series. There are 13 episodes in all. In the end, Daisuke Hagiwara adapted the story and illustrated it for the popular manga series “Horimiya,” which is published by Monthly GFantasy and serves as the inspiration for the anime series.

Kyouko Hori is a Japanese television series produced by CloverWorks that follows the development of a relationship between Kyouko Hori, a prim social butterfly who excels in school but who also has a dark secret about her own identity, and Miyamaura, a quiet and gloomy boy with no friends who has a sweet and gentle heart beneath his rough exterior. Early in the anime, they meet by happenstance and become friends, sharing their secrets with one another and discovering new parts of themselves in the process, laying the framework for a more serious romantic relationship later on.

Given that the first season came to an end in April with the pair’s graduation, many fans of “Horimiya” have begun to speculate whether or not the show will return for a second season that takes up where it left off. Is There a Second Season of Horimiya?

Season 2 of the anime has not yet been confirmed, and its comeback may be difficult. The series’ storyline was satisfactorily concluded by the end of the first season. There were no more cliffhangers or surprises to reveal. Season 2 of the show may be canceled due to its satisfying conclusion, as there is no more story to be told.

The last episode was based on the manga’s final chapter, which depicted Katagiri Senior High School students’ graduation day.

Horimiya Season 2 Plot

In ‘Horimiya,’ the plot revolves around a beautiful and popular young lady named Kyoko Hori and an introverted and shy young man named Izumi Miyamura. Despite the fact that they attended the same high school, their social standing and attitudes are diametrically opposed.

Nevertheless, their school personalities have been carefully constructed in order to conceal their true identities outside of the four walls of the academic institution. In contrast to the nerdy Izumi, who lives a more adventurous life and dresses in punk style, replete with earrings and tattoos, when he is out in the fresh air. Souta’s younger sister Kyoko, on the other hand, dresses down and takes care of her younger brother.

The two come across each other outside of school, and after learning about each other’s secrets, they make a pact to keep the information from their classmates at school. As the story progressed, the two were increasingly attracted to one another. They finally declare their feelings for each other near the end of the film, and their friends embrace and encourage their relationship. In the final episode of the series, the two were seen celebrating their high school graduation together.

If the show is extended for a second season, we may expect to see the development of Kyoko and Izumi’s relationship continue in some form. The original material has already been depleted by the end of the first season. Consequently, if the anime wants to continue with the series, they will have to come up with a fresh narrative.
