Then I read in the newspaper about a Japanese diplomat who was in the Parliament and had been arrested for killing his adult child who was living at home and who he thought was going to do a series of knife attacks,” Gordon told Deadline.
The origins of the rest of Accused’s episodes are all the same. Gordon told Deadline, “In a way, trauma is great for drama, and as a storyteller, you get to deal with it through fiction.
So you get to take the real truth and think about it next to what is happening. I think the writers are getting a chance to dramatize some of the questions we’re all asking at this time in 2023. These are stories that, for a variety of reasons, could have only been told today.”
