Leah Kateb enjoyed herself much on Love Island, but the whole thing had a negative effect on her. Now that the program is done, she is eager to move on. August 19 marked the reunion on Love Island, and now that it has concluded, she intends to closure that chapter in her life.
She still has a great relationship with her castmates, but she’s ready for a break from the spotlight that comes with being a reality TV star.
Leah Kateb is Feeling Drained by Her Experience on Love Island
Leah Kateb chose to clarify her remarks about an alleged brawl during the reunion in a TikTok comment because she was tired of the attention from her admirers.
“There was no ‘blow up’ at the reunion. She grumbled, “Yall make anything and everything up.”
She also used the occasion to inform her followers that she would not be making any more appearances in public media.
“This entire event has left me psychologically, physically, and spiritually tired. I’m worn out. After the reunion, I informed them I was done.
Leah has already discussed how difficult it has been for her to handle the pressure of the show. She disclosed that this point in the season severely damaged her self-esteem during a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
She felt terribly “unwanted” and needed some time to heal after Rob publicly said that he wasn’t attracted to her.
When he mentioned that, she clarified, “Every negative thought I’ve ever had about myself literally just was swarming in my head.”
“I’ve never felt so ashamed in my entire existence. I felt really unwelcome and disgusting. In that instant, every negative notion I had about myself was validated.”
It hurts so much to hear that as a woman, especially me, because I feel like it’s taken me a long time to reach a point where, well, I’m not even there yet where I feel good about how I look because I’m very critical of myself, and I think that it just made me feel worse.
I’m not sure what happened to put me in such a bad frame of mind. I’ll just be absolutely clear about that.”
Leah Also Had Some Wonderful Experiences
Even though Leah is tired of the reality TV trend, she still had some amazing moments. She met and got to know Miguel after she overcame Rob’s rejection, and the two of them now enjoy a positive relationship that is only getting better.
Perhaps most importantly, she got to meet Serena Page, the season champion, and JaNa Craig, her new best friend. After the season concluded, the three of them remained quite close and continued to hang together a lot.
They stated that they were working on new projects together just a few weeks prior when they appeared in unmatched press releases. Perhaps even a reality TV series of their own.
Thus, even though Leah may be taking a break from the Love Island series, fans will still be able to see her in the future.
