Mismatched Season 2 Release Date: 2022| Time and Over-the-top Streaming Revealed!

Season 2 of Mismatched, which premieres this Friday, is the only Indian Netflix original planned for the month of October. The show continues from where season 1 left off, with the dramatic fallout between Dimple and Rishi.

Akarsh Khurana, director of the critically acclaimed TVF Tripling, is back at the helm for this coming-of-age series that addresses the struggles young adults have with their identities, social relationships, and mental health.

All of them, though, take their cue from Sandhya Menon’s novel “When Dimple Met Rishi,” published in 2017, and centre on relationships of all kinds.

Season 1 moved the action from San Francisco to the busier city of Jaipur, but the basic premise is the same.

The world of Mismatched Season 2 is one we crafted through a difficult time, and it is a world full of emotion. The first season’s reception made us feel like a family and the cast was blown away by it.

“We are grateful, and since then, our main focus has been on bringing you a season that is even stronger, more emotional, and more authentic,” director Khurana said in a statement.

Koli, better known as her online as “MostlySane,” is back as Dimple Ahuja, the brilliant programmer and one half of our feuding couple. Despite being devastated by the loss of control over AntiSosh and having severed all relations with Rishi, she finds solace in a new lover and works hard to bring the project back to life. She feels the pressure of the approaching end of her college career and begins to cram her days away while being forced to watch her “ex-lover” with another woman.

The “ex” in issue is Rishi Singh Shekhawat (Saraf), who is distraught about the revelation of his closest friend’s sexual orientation and has been falsely accused of leaking Dimple’s code. It’s safe to assume there’s been some sort of miscommunication between them, leading the man to abandon all hope for a happy marriage.

“As an actor, there are many things that my character did in the first season that I do not agree with. Saraf said in an interview that he would have acted differently in the role if given the same script now. “The tale picks up right where Season 1 left off, which was both challenging and rewarding.”

In the role of Dimple’s confidant and shoulder to weep on, Harsh Agarwal, played by Vihaan Samat (Bombay Begums), who also becomes her lover,… After sharing a passionate kiss one night, the two embarked on an exciting adventure, helping and encouraging one another along the way, whether they were making plans for the future, plotting revenge on Rishi, or singing songs in a strange American accent late into the night.

Mismatched Season 2 Release Date

The second season of Mismatched will feature Sanskruti, played by Sanjana Sarathy, a new student at the Aravali Institute. She’s a budding photographer with a knack for making Rishi rethink his preconceived notions of love. They even work together in the augmented reality dance-off I was talking about.

On the other side of campus, Namrata (Devyani Shorey) has developed feelings for Ayesha (Ahsaas Channa), a tomboyish new student who doesn’t mind showing her affection to people of the same gender.

Also returning is Shark Tank India host Rannvijay Singha, who plays Professor Siddharth Sinha. He’s so engrossed in the scene unfolding before his eyes that he doesn’t notice when his coworker Nandini (Vidya Malavade) tries to gain his attention.

Discordant Second-season Soundtrack

Anoushka Maskey, YugM, Danish Sood, and more have contributed to Netflix’s new album of nine tracks. Sickflip’s “Dimple” adds to the mix with its erratic, nervous take on electronic dance music. “Pipni,” performed by Anurag Saikia, can be heard in the Season 2 trailer and is a song that everyone will want to dance to. The masterful Rekha Bhardwaj also gives a new spin to “Aise Kyun,” reflecting the development of our protagonists.

All of the music from Season 2 of Mismatched may be heard on streaming services including YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Date and Time of Publication

On Friday, October 14th, the second season of Mismatched will debut on Netflix.

Season 1 debuted in 2020 at 12:30 PM IST, however Netflix has not yet announced a particular release date. A 12:30 PM IST launch is consistent with the platform’s regular update timing for all non-simulcast programming, so there’s no reason to expect that to change for season 2.
Each of the season’s eight episodes will be about 35 minutes long.

The second season is scheduled to premiere at the following times throughout the world:

  • At 3 a.m. PST (6 a.m. EST), the sun will have risen in the Pacific.
  • 8 a.m. in the United Kingdom
  • 9 a.m., European Standard Time
  • Noon, Pakistan Standard Time
  • It’s 12:30 in India right now
  • Filipino afternoon; 3 o’clock
  • 5:30 p.m., Central Daylight Time, Australia

Krish (Abhinav Sharma), confined to a wheelchair, encourages him to vent his frustrations by saying that Dimple is suddenly interested in “foreign products.” And Rishi’s reaction to this? Why don’t you just watch the clip and see what you think?
