Attack on Titan Episode 15 Review – Season 4

Towards the end of the season, in episode 15, we finally witness Eren confront his buddies about the state of affairs. Eren demonstrates his independence from Yelena’s influence by acting on his own own. However, Armin’s “instinctive desire” to protect her “host” as an Ackerman is making him believe that Armin is being influenced by memories of Bertolt and Mikasa.

Eren holds Armin, Mikasa, and Gabi prisoner and demands to know where Zeke is as a fight breaks out between the two guys. Shiganshina District is next on the itinerary. Zeke is able to turn all of Levi’s buddies into Pure Titans thanks to the wine, which puts Levi in a difficult position.

When Zeke tries to flee, Levi kills all of his pursuers before he can get up to the former Marleyan War Chief. Zeke, despite becoming the Beast Titan, is unable to guarantee victory, and Levi bonds him with a lightning spear. As a result, we learn a lot more about Zeke’s past in episode 15, thanks to flashbacks and the like.

Attack on Titan Season 4

Zeke’s life as an Eldian in Marley and as a Warrior Candidate give us a better understanding of the man. Grisha isn’t Zeke’s father of the year since he’s been so busy with the Restorationists movement. Tom Ksaver, the Beast Titan, and a young Zeke play catch on a rainy day.

Grisha’s strategy relies significantly on Zeke’s talents as a Warrior Candidate, placing more strain on the former.

Ksaver becomes Grisha’s father figure as he gets increasingly disillusioned with Zeke. So when Zeke reveals his parents’ alleged sex crimes to Ksaver, the latter advises Zeke to turn them in to law enforcement. As we all know, the rest is history. Ksaver, who is reaching the end of his reign as the Beast Titan, still plays catch with a grown-up Zeke.

Ksaver discloses in an open dialogue that 600 years ago, a disease decimated the planet. Ksaver. After a mystery disappearance from Eldian territory, a scholar concluded that King Darius had used the Founding Titan’s power to alter human bodies. Eldian Ksaver exposes some of his emotional baggage.

His Marleyan wife slashed her own neck when she found out about his actual identity and committed suicide. The same fate befell their child as well. He wishes he had never been born in the first place as he bursts into tears.

The afore-mentioned fact, combined with Zeke’s own experiences, makes the Warrior Candidate sure that euthanization is the only way to solve Eldians’ problems. Ksaver then tells Zeke that the combination of the Founding Titan and a titan of royal blood can break the King’s vow.

From this point on, we see that Zeke then went on to inherit the Beast Titan, and he eventually found out that his half-brother, Eren, possesses the Founding Titan and that Grisha had survived after Zeke ratted him out.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 15 Ending: Are Zeke and Levi Dead?

Attack on Titan Season 4

Zeke actually approached Eren in a Marleyan hospital, and after a brief conversation, Eren stated that he was on board with the plan. Coming back to reality, Levi is transporting Zeke so that he can be devoured by someone from Paradis. However, Zeke detonates the thunder spear, leading to a massive explosion.

This naturally makes one wonder if Zeke and Levi will survive. After all, they are at the very epicenter of the blast. While it is tempting to believe that Zeke and Levi have died, along with their rivalry, it seems highly unlikely that this will be the case.

Firstly, they are two major players in ‘Attack of Titan,’ and removing such primary characters in this fashion is almost a disservice to them. But more importantly, we need to refer to the eponymous manga to get some more concrete answers.

Levi, on the other hand, witnesses no such divine intervention, but his good ole’ friends always have his back! Levi, too, is in a deplorable condition (to say the least) in the wake of the blast. Having said that, though, Hange comes across his battered body and tells the Jaegerists that Levi is dead; but this is a ruse.
Since Zeke reemerges unscathed, he is unintentionally able to provide Hange with a distraction, who then uses the opportunity to escape Eren’s crazed followers with Levi.

He still has some unfinished business with Zeke, who, in turn, still needs to unlock the powers of the Founding Titan with his half-brother, Eren.
