Romantic Killer Season 2: Does Romantic Killer 2 Need A Second Season?
The 12-episode first season of the new Netflix anime Romantic Killer debuted on the streaming service on October 27, 2022. It is an adaptation of the same-named manga by Wataru Momose. The official manga synopsis, which is reflected in the show, is as follows:
Anzu Hoshino, a high school student, has a wonderful life. She indulges in snacks, plays video games, and pets her cherished cat every day. But when a magical being takes her to a different reality devoid of her favourite things, her happy existence is turned into a confusing jumble.
Anzu is supposed to be anti-romance but is compelled by these events to consider having a romantic relationship with various potential suitors. This dynamic makes up the majority of the first season.
What is the storyline or plot of Romantic Killer (Season 1)
Anzu Hoshino, a high school student, is unwittingly thrust into a scene from a shojo fiction dream world. It is the sensation of being pursued romantically by the popular guy at school. A fairy by the name of Riri decides to play matchmaker for Anzu even though she has no interest in romance. If Anzu doesn’t face her courtship head-on, she won’t be able to live the single life she’s always loved.
Although the idea may at first seem absurd, there is something intriguing about a Shojo heroine who is unwilling to engage in romantic relationships. In this story, a magical realm devises a scheme to increase the human population by shattering the hearts of young people one at a time. Riri, a fairy who despises romance, declares Anzu to be the perfect.
What Is the Romantic Killer Netflix Renewal Standing?

Does Netflix is planning to Release Romantic Killer Season 2?
Although there has been no official confirmation, early signs suggest that Romantic Killer will receive a second season. This is due to a number of factors.
The first justification is that Netflix has a history of successfully renewing its original anime series. Multiple seasons of shows like 7 Seeds, Aggretsuko, and Baki have been ordered. The Romantic Killer ending is far from conclusive, which is the second factor contributing to the second season’s high stakes.
Last but not least, there are four complete volumes of the manga, but only two have been translated and published in English. It suggests that there is still a lot of stories left to tell. If the show doesn’t do well, the chances of Romantic Killer being renewed will decrease. Given that the manga has a sizable fan base, it is unlikely.

What might be the plot of Romantic Killer Season 2?
With Riri’s return putting much higher stakes on her shoulders, Anzu continues to deal with her relationship with the boys, and there is a strong likelihood that the second season will pick up where the first left off. Does Romantic Killer 2 Need A Second Season?
Since the manga’s English translation is currently only available for its first volume, we had to read ahead in order to determine how much of the manga’s original Japanese scans had been translated. We can attest that the Netflix anime adaptation has covered all 38 of the manga’s chapters. This does not imply, however, that Romantic Killer won’t appear on Netflix in the future. The anime ends on the same cliffhanger as the manga, with the information that Anzu’s three favourite things—video games, chocolate, and her cat—have been temporarily returned to her.
Anzu will lose all three for good if she is still single by the end of high school. The wizard Kate’s new assignment is given to Yukana in the anime, which is a significant departure from the manga. Meanwhile, Riri takes off into the sky while informing the audience that Anzu’s love life is progressing, leaving us with a “to be continued.” Therefore, it appears that the anime will continue even though the manga has ostensibly ended.
What Might Romantic Killer Season 2 Be About?
Anzu would likely try to manage her relationship with the boys while dealing with the significantly higher stakes imposed on her by Riri’s return in a second season, which is likely to pick up right where the first left off. She would have a good reason to reevaluate her interactions with Tsukasa, Junta, and Hijiri if not for that ticking-clock device and the erosion of Ansu’s desires — again!
