Swat Season 6 Release Date: How to Watch Swat?
As part of its fall 2022 schedule, C.B.S. will bring back SWAT for a sixth season. The crime drama shows are based on the same-named 1975 show and 2003 movie.
Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, a former Marine who grew up in Los Angeles and is now a SWAT sergeant, is played by Shemar Moore. The team has been in California in the past seasons, but they are going to a different country this season. You won’t need a passport to see the elite unit in Thailand.
SWAT is a procedural show, meaning most episodes focus on a single case that is looked into and solved in the hour-long time slot. People don’t have to watch every episode to understand what’s happening, but they might miss critical character-building moments if they don’t. So far, this is what we know about season 6.

Who is in the Swat Season 6 Cast?
Lina Esco, who played Christina “Chris” Alonso for five seasons, said she was leaving SWAT just days after the end of the fifth season.
Except for Esco, the rest of the main characters should be back for season 6:
- Shemar Moore as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson
- Alex Russell as Jim Street
- Kenny Johnson as Dominique Luca
- Jay Harrington as David “Deacon” Kay
- David Lim as Victor Tan
- Patrick St. Esprit as Robert Hicks
What is the Swat Season 6 Plot?
The SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team is always working on something new, from robberies to hijackings to terror attacks. The crew will have to deal with high-stakes operations this season, but they will leave Los Angeles (at least for part of the season) and go to Thailand.
The end of season 5 was sad because it was Alonso’s last day on the squad. But not all of the tears were sad. Harrelson found out that his girlfriend, Nichelle, was pregnant, and he and Nichelle decided that Luca would be the godfather.
It makes sense that Nichelle’s pregnancy will play a role in season 6, but we don’t know how much or if she’ll go to Thailand.
