Instead, it was the second half of the split-court from Season 2. “That Time I Became a Slime” still hasn’t been picked up for a third season as of this writing.

If season 3 gets made, we think it will start after the big battle, assuming that the next movie won’t be a sequel but a new story. The end of the light novel Volume 6: The Octagram Soars Brightly is the same as the end of the last episode of season 2.
Based on how quickly the anime moves and how the second season ended, Volume 7 is probably where the third season will begin.

In the Japanese dub, Miho Okasaki plays the slime Rimuru, Megumi Toyoguchi plays the Great Sage, Asuna Tomari plays the hobgoblin Gobta, Chikahiro Kobayashi plays the wolf-like Ranga, Mao Ichimichi plays the ogress Shion, and Kanehira Yamamoto plays the goblin leader Rigurd.
