How Many Seasons of the Crown Will There Be?
The drama was supposed to have six 10-episode seasons, but when The Crown creator Peter Morgan was writing the fifth season, he decided it was “the perfect time and place to stop.”

What Years Will Season 5 of the Crown Cover?
Season 5 of The Crown will pick up where season 4 left off, which was in late 1990. This means that the show is likely to take place in the 1990s, which was a hard time for the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family.

Where is the Crown Season 5 Filmed?
Season 5 started filming in the summer of 2021, and we know that some of it happened in Scotland.
The Scottish Sun said that Imelda Staunton was seen filming in the town of Macduff in the county of Aberdeenshire.
The Strathspey & Badenoch Herald says that Staunton and the actors who play Princess Anne (thought to be Claudia Harrison) and her husband, Timothy Lawrence, were seen filming on a beach near Covesea Lighthouse near Lossiemouth.

In February 2022, Staunton and Pryce were seen getting out of a Rolls-Royce outside the London Coliseum. They were recreating the 1995 Royal Variety Performance, but it’s not clear how these scenes fit into the story.
