For example, a woman in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who was filming herself while eating in her car, unintentionally recorded a shootout triggered by an argument among unrelated individuals nearby. Thankfully, the video ends with her unharmed, but the situation was undeniably alarming.
The striking TikTok video captures a woman sitting inside her car at night, preparing to eat a plate of tacos. She briefly turns the camera toward herself and then highlights the people around her car who are engaged in a dispute unrelated to her. The argument is loud enough that it appears her car window is open while recording. As tension builds and voices escalate, gunfire suddenly erupts.
Unfortunately, multiple gunshots can be heard in the clip. It is unclear if anyone sustained injuries as a result of this reckless altercation; however, the woman inside the car remains safe throughout the video. At one point, she leans back in her seat, puts her food aside, and shifts her position to avoid potential stray bullets from hitting her. Viewers quickly responded, with one comment reading, “First 48 ain’t taught yall nothing about TULSA?!😭😭”
Random shootings remain a serious problem, and the woman seemed aware of the risks even before she started eating. Still, it is understandable that she chose to eat in her car at a spot where she probably had felt safe before.
