She is Henry Fonda’s grandchild, Jane Fonda’s niece, and Peter Fonda’s daughter.
As Mandy Rice-Davies in the 1989 movie Scandal, Fonda was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She also gave Jenna’s voice in the 1995 animated feature picture Balto. She appeared in Easy Rider (1969) as a young child in the hippie commune that Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper visit on their journey across the country at the age of five (she was filmed at the age of four). Her second speaking-less role was in the Partners comedy from 1982. She starred in You Can’t Hurry Love and Shag in 1988, and her first significant film role was in Scandal.
Her breakthrough performance was in The Godfather Part III, which was released in late 1990, as a journalist. Public records show that Danny spent $2.13 million on a house in the Los Angeles suburb of Hancock Park in 2000. The mansion, which dates back to the 1920s, underwent three years and over $3 million in renovations thanks to Danny and Bridget. They paid $3.6 million for the home next door in 2015, and in October 2020, they listed the entire estate for sale for $14.6 million. The price of the larger original home, if sold individually, was $8.8 million, while the price of the smaller home was $5.8 million.
The residences were ultimately sold separately, with the larger one going for the asking amount ($8.8 million) and the smaller one selling for $4.2 million at a discount. Four years after first meeting Eric Stoltz, Bridget started seeing him in 1990. They dated for eight years. She proposed to composer Danny Elfman in March 2003, and on November 29, 2003, they were married. Oliver was born to Fonda and Elfman on January 21, 2005. Elfman is a popular film and television composer and the former frontman for the American rock band Oingo Boingo. Bodhi Elfman, an actor who is wed to Jenna Elfman, is Danny’s nephew.
Bridget had a damaged vertebra in a rollover automobile accident in February 2003. She had been cast in a recurring part on “The Practice” just before the accident, but Teri Polo took her place.
