Meghan started writing for “The Daily Beast” in early 2009, and her political book “Dirty Sexy Politics” was released in 2010. Additionally, she began guest-hosting on “The View” during this time. As an independent voter, she cast her ballot for John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election when she was just 18 years old.

On November 21, 2017, Meghan tied the knot with writer Ben Domenech at the ranch where she grew up in Sedona. On the 28th of September 2020, the couple became parents to a girl, Liberty. According to a “New York Times” article published in July 2019, McCain disclosed that she had previously had a miscarriage.

Sen. McCain died of brain cancer in 2018, and in her eulogy, McCain termed her father’s loss the “passing of American greatness.”

Meghan was independent when she was 18, and even though she changed her party membership to Republican in 2008, she still supports LGBT rights and supports same-sex marriage.
