On January 15, 2000, Michael wed writer/producer Nichole Beattie; they had sons, Julian and Maceo, before divorcing in 2007. Then, in 2016, Rapaport wed actress Kebe Dunn. Actress Lili Taylor was Michael’s ex-girlfriend, and he was charged with aggravated harassment after he was arrested for harassing her. A protection order was issued to prevent Rapaport from contacting Taylor after he entered a guilty plea to the charges. He was also told to go to therapy. He prevented a man from opening an emergency door on an American Airlines flight in June 2018.
