Halloween Events in San Antonio: Latest Update 2022!
Fiesta Since 1891, San Antonio, Texas, has celebrated an annual festival known as San Antonio (or simply “Fiesta”) in April. Other celebrations are also conducted in nearby Boerne, Schertz, Windcrest, Balcones Heights, and Alamo Heights. The Battle of Flowers, also known as the Battle of the Alamo, and the Battle of San Jacinto, which resulted in Texas’ independence from Mexico in April 1836, are remembered throughout the event.
The largest celebration in the city, Fiesta, has a $340 million economic impact on the area. In more than 100 activities that take place around the city and abroad, more than three million people participate.
We’ve got these spectacularly entertaining Halloween events lined up for you on your spine-tingling schedule:
Zoo Boo at the San Antonio Zoo
Halloween is a fun time for the whole family at the San Antonio Zoo with Zoo Boo. Kids are urged to dress up so they can compete in a daily costume competition. There are other events like the Scarecrow Sing-along Express, Trick-or-Treating hour, and Cowboy’s Dance Parties and Cowboy’s Scavenger Hunt.
Discover themed sections like Bubbling Seas, which features pirates and mermaids, and Da De Los Muertos, which features brilliant colours and a cultural element.

Hocus Pocus at Cinema on Will’s Plaza
On October 14, watch Hocus Pocus at the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza to put a spell on your October plans. This Halloween cult favourite tells the tale of a gang of kids who, with the aid of a cat pal, must figure out how to defeat revived witches from the 17th century on Halloween night. On a 32-foot LED wall screen, enjoy the movie.
You only need to bring yourself, your family, and possibly a lawn chair or a creepy blanket since this event is free.
At 8:00 p.m., the movie begins, and the plaza opens. Pets, outside food, and beverages are not permitted on the plaza.
8th annual Hocus Pocus Halloween Extravaganza
Let’s say you’re a Sanderson Sisters fanatic. In that case, you should go to the 8th Annual Hocus Pocus Halloween Extravaganza on October 22 at the San Antonio Museum of Art.
Beer, wine, and specialty cocktails will be available at this 21+ event’s open bar along with small nibbles. Additionally, there will be a picture booth, costume contests, DJ Stephennie Ramerez, and the e7 Band performing.

Brews N’ Broomsticks at the Doseum
On October 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., there will be an adults-only Brews N’ Broomsticks event. The Do Seum’s generally charming Little Town section will be transformed into a frightening location with creepy crawlies, a tour of the eerie garden, and a costume competition.
There will be a costume contest, so wear your spooky attire and eerie outfits even if they are not required. There will be snacks, drinks, and libations available.
Boos & Brews 5k Monster Dash at Freetail Brewing Co
