Hwayugi, or A Korean Odyssey, is a South Korean drama series developed by the Hong Sisters. It’s a modernized adaptation of Wu Chueng’en’s famous 16th-century Chinese novel “Journey to the West.”

Seon-mi, a young woman, is the protagonist of A Korean Odyssey. She can see ghosts. However, it turned out to be a curse for her. Seon-mi was continuously aware of the presence of spirits around her, making it impossible for her to live everyday life.
