It took a long time for Black Widow to get her movie. The 24th MCU movie is ready to go, but it has been held up a few times because the Covid-19 pandemic is still affecting movie releases worldwide.
There is also no timetable for when Black Widow will be free to watch on Disney Plus. Mulan was sent to all subscribers three months after it came out, so Black Widow might do the same.
Black Widow is such a popular character and most MCU movies get sequels, we can’t help but wonder if this will be an excuse to bring Natasha Romanoff back into the Marvel universe, like how Endgame gave Tom Hiddleston’s Loki a way to come back.

The Black Widow movie is the first MCU film to be led by a woman by herself. The studio interviewed more than 70 filmmakers before choosing a well-known Australian director.
The new release date for the Black Widow movie is July 9, 2021. The film wasn’t supposed to come out until May 2020, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, that date was pushed back to May 7, 2021.
