When he got home from working on the set of Cobra Kai, he found himself in a bad situation.
Omstead fixed a leak in the garage as soon as he got home.
Omstead was fixing a leak in the garage when suddenly a wall fell on top of him.
Omstead was hurt when pieces of the garage’s retaining wall got in the way and trapped him. He later died from his injuries.
Scott Wachtel, his brother-in-law, told the news site 11 Alive, “Everything just fell on top of him at once.”
He continued, “The garage door was closed, and there was a van parked right here (in front of the garage), so he couldn’t run this way (towards the garage), and he couldn’t run this way (away from the garage) because the rest of the wall was falling over here, so he had nowhere to go.

Albert Omstead has been a part of several Netflix and TV shows.
Omstead has worked on many shows, including Stranger Things, Atlanta, The Walking Dead, Sweet Magnolias, Creepshow, and many more.
Gaten Matarazzo, in the show “Stranger Things,” wrote a tribute on Instagram.
“Sending love and prayers to the Omstead family,” the actor wrote in the post’s caption.
Gaten said, “A firecracker of a man who is funny, kind, and works hard. He loved his wife, Que, and his five children.”

Fans quickly noticed a tribute shown at the end of season 4 of Cobra Kai.
Albert Omstead’s name showed up at the end of episode 7 as part of a tribute called “In Memory of.”
At the end of episode 1, there was also a tribute to Ed Asner, who played Johnny Lawrence’s stepfather Sid Weinberg on the show.

Olmstead’s family said that the professional’s death was a freak accident at his home when a wall suddenly fell.
