There has been widespread frustration with the actions of ICE across the country. While protests have effectively expressed public discontent regarding recent events, some individuals have found a more cathartic way to cope with the situation. A store located in Little Village, a neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, has introduced ICE-themed piñatas. Thanks to this shop, people can now pick up a stick, bat, or any tool they prefer to break piñatas and release their tension by striking these papier-mâché figures. And yes, there’s candy inside as well.
A Twitter user, Wu Tang is for the Children, shared a video of this Little Village store selling ICE piñatas. As many are aware, ICE has employed controversial tactics to detain individuals, including arrests of legal citizens in some cases. This has naturally sparked public outrage. Protests have been a prominent way to express disagreement with ICE’s methods. However, some remain deeply frustrated, and these piñatas offer a unique cathartic outlet that many have welcomed.
It’s important to clarify that while we do not endorse attacking law enforcement officers, taking a swing at a piñata presents a completely different scenario.
The store, named Dulcelandia, offers a wide variety of piñata designs. However, customers noticed one detail was missing.

Given the substantial backlash ICE has faced, some agents cover their faces during operations. Many believe that adding these masks to the piñatas would make them more realistic. On the other hand, several people have expressed enthusiasm and support for the ICE piñatas.

Considering the current climate, it’s likely that Dulcelandia will continue to offer these piñatas. Many protesters are already planning to incorporate them into demonstrations, suggesting the store will see strong demand in the days ahead.
