‘Crazy’ Virginia Man Attempts To Shoot Up Church Because He Couldn’t Date Women, Sentenced 25 Years: ‘Dude Was Mad at God for C—kblocking Him’

Some individuals are better off removed from society, and for very good reasons. A 36-year-old man in Virginia was told by his church congregation that he was not permitted to have romantic relationships with women, according to FOX 5 DC. This restriction enraged him, specifically targeting God and the men who prevented him from dating, which ultimately led him to plan a violent act of revenge.

Following tips from concerned citizens, police apprehended this middle-aged would-be attacker outside the church armed with a handgun, knives, and ammunition.

The arrest occurred in September 2023 in Fairfax, Virginia. Recently, the man was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison. While some might argue that 25 years is insufficient punishment for the attempt to take multiple lives, at least he is now removed from the streets and unlikely to cause harm for the next two decades or so.

Online communities have expressed relief that he has been incarcerated. For instance, Reddit users have praised the sentence and are thankful he is off the streets. One top comment on a post linking to the news story reads, “Good riddance to this moron.” Another user said, “Wow. This guy sucks, and I hope we never hear anything about him again.”

One Reddit user sarcastically remarked, “You know what blocks romantic relationships with women 100% without fail? Prison. Now his chances go from 1 in a million to zero.”

It is unusual that the church’s male leadership blocked the 36-year-old from having romantic relationships, especially considering he voluntarily joined that congregation. If he had wished, he could have simply left and joined a different church without anyone intervening.

Some users shared this view: “There are more churches than sandwich shops and 50% of the population is female. Instead of getting team c—kblocked, the guy could have just taken the act on the road.” Another comment stated, “Dude was mad at other male church members and/or God for c—kblocking him.” Regardless, we can all agree that it’s fortunate this man was stopped before causing harm. Clearly, the individual was dangerous.
