Florida Woman Stunned to See Stalker at Gym Years Later, ‘Can You Give Me Her Address?’

Published On:

No one enjoys feeling uneasy because of another person. When it escalates to stalking, it moves beyond discomfort into criminal territory. A Florida woman shared her unsettling experience with a stalker who regularly attended the same gym as her, likely in an attempt to approach her. Now, she’s opening up about what happened and the shock she felt when she encountered him again years later at her hometown gym.

Alexa (@alexaabney69) shared her story on TikTok, asking viewers, “Tell me if you would cancel your gym membership or not.” She recounted that when she was just 16 years old, she frequented a local Gold’s Gym. One day, a man in his 40s or 50s approached her and said, “Hey, I’ve seen you here a lot. These are really good habits to get into. Good job; keep up the good work. Keep showing up for yourself.”

At the time, this didn’t seem threatening—he appeared to be a kind man encouraging her good habits. However, as time passed, Alexa began to feel uneasy about his constant presence. She altered her schedule, switching to early morning workouts, yet he continued to show up at those hours, approaching her to express how proud he was of her.

One day, Alexa and her mother visited a local tanning salon and saw the same man there. Her mother noticed his strange gaze. Later, the salon owner called them to warn, relaying what the man had said: “Never talk to him again. He just said to me, ‘That girl is so hot; I would love to get with her. Can you give me her address?’” The owner promptly expelled him and banned him from returning.

Although these encounters were disturbing, Alexa was preparing to leave for college and didn’t dwell on it. “Now, we’re fully seven years later. And I hadn’t thought about it until this morning when I saw him at the gym.” She added, “And he has the audacity to come up to me and say, ‘Hey, how are you? How have you been? It’s been a while.’ I don’t know. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but that’s such weird behavior.”

On TikTok, one commenter offered advice: “As someone who works in law enforcement, even if you tell the gym and they remove him… He still knows where you work out. I would go somewhere else altogether. Also, file something with the police so there’s documentation in case things escalate. Start it now.”

The fact that so many years have passed and he still approaches Alexa highlights a frightening reality. She should avoid any situation where she is alone with him. Hopefully, Alexa seriously considers filing a police report, as dealing with a stalker is not something to take lightly.
