Meghan Markle Hits Back At Critics After Desperate Move Cursed to Fail: ‘SheWill Cling to This’

Meghan Markle takes no chances with her business as she launches fresh promotional campaigns for her As Ever brand despite bleak predictions. The 43-year-old has remained dedicated to expanding her business empire since introducing the lifestyle brand in March 2025. Her venture quickly gained momentum, with the initial product collection selling out within hours.

Earlier this week, the duchess hinted at a restock of her As Ever products, alongside “some delicious surprises” set for release on Friday, June 20.

Before the highly anticipated launch, royal analysts criticized the former royal-turned-entrepreneur for merely replenishing her sold-out items as an attempt to solidify her standing as a royal entrepreneur with a pioneering business. Many detractors forecasted that this move was bound to fail, suggesting it was driven by the wrong motives—particularly a craving for fame and wealth.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal expert Helena Chard explained that Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand appears to thrive largely because her “royal title and Sussex name are boosting her brand.” However, in pursuit of fame and fortune, the duchess is likely to continue leveraging her royal ties while venturing into multiple business ideas—an approach that could ultimately backfire. Chard stated,

“She will cling to this as it will help bring her [more] fame and fortune, which is imperative to her life. She will keep her fingers in many pies and her name in lights with the hope that one or more of her ideas will bring in the much-needed hard cash.”

After sharing her critical perspective on Meghan Markle’s business strategies, Chard went on to predict the downfall of the As Ever brand, suggesting the mother of two is unlikely to achieve the financial success she desires through product sales. She added,

“She is not likely to amass her fortune from the sales of basic As Ever treats, however delicious they may be.”

Alongside Chard, several other critics and royal analysts have forecasted trouble for Meghan Markle’s business, pointing to issues including her promotional tactics, fragile operational foundation, challenges in employee retention, frequent shifts between business ventures, and ongoing tensions with the British royal family.

Despite this critical feedback, Meghan has pressed forward with her marketing campaigns, adhering to her planned business milestones. Unfazed by her detractors, Meghan Markle doubled down on her original announcement regarding the product restock, posting a countdown to the official “Summer drop” via Instagram stories in the early hours of Friday.

The post featured an image of the As Ever founder cladded in a yellow dress, swinging from a large tree in a lush garden. When the eight-hour countdown ended, the duchess replenished her product line as promised, using Instagram to reveal the launch of “Yummies, and honeys, and fruit spreads,” inviting customers to check out the Summer Collection.

Whether Meghan’s motivations are truly for “fame and fortune” or not, her persistence in the face of criticism is undeniably admirable.
