Xbox’s platform-agnostic approach is about to explore new horizons, at least if these leaks are accurate. According to multiple reports and an image shared by @Zuby_Tech on X, Team Green has collaborated with Meta to create an Xbox-themed version of the Quest 3S VR Headset. Rumors about this partnership have been circulating throughout 2024, and the official announcement may be imminent.
The leaked image showcases the ‘Meta 3S Xbox Edition packaging.’ Near the bottom, both Meta Quest and Xbox logos are prominently displayed, while the box art embraces the platform’s signature all-black color scheme. The VR headset mirrors this design, featuring a sleek black finish accented by a green trim along the edges of the front panel. The Xbox logo is positioned near the top, and an Xbox Controller is visible in the top-right corner.

Additional leaks provide more insight. Kevin Lopez of Game Sandwich reported that the Xbox Meta 3S could be quietly launched this Tuesday, June 24. The report indicates the headset will be priced at $399 and include three months of Game Pass Ultimate.
The package reportedly contains a black and green headset with matching accessories, an Elite Strap, and an Xbox wireless controller. The headset itself comes with 128 GB of system memory, essentially making it a standard Meta Quest 3S adorned with Xbox branding. However, these details remain unconfirmed, so it’s wise to approach them cautiously.
Xbox entering the VR market is an unexpected move but aligns perfectly with their new motto, “Everything is an Xbox.” The company has pushed to eliminate platform restrictions for its software, and this collaboration is a clear extension of that philosophy. How well this VR venture will be received remains to be seen.
